Customer: The individual or entity booking the skip hire service.
Skip: The container provided by the Company for waste disposal.
Booking: The reservation of a skip for a specified period.

2. Booking and Payment

To secure a booking with Shortlands Skip Hire, the Customer must provide accurate information and ensure that full payment is made by the specified due date.

2.1. Payment Methods

Accepted Methods: We accept payments via credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and other electronic payment methods.
Payment Terms: Payment is required in full unless a deposit has been agreed upon.
Late Payments: Late payments may incur additional fees.

2.2. Pricing

Skip Size: Prices vary based on the size of the skip selected.
Rental Duration: The cost is calculated based on the rental period agreed upon.
Additional Services: Any extra services requested may incur additional charges.

3. Delivery and Collection

The Company will deliver the skip to the specified location on the agreed-upon date and time. Collection will occur at the end of the rental period unless an extension is requested.

3.1. Delivery Terms

Access Requirements: The Customer must ensure that the delivery location is accessible for the skip delivery.
Delivery Delays: The Company is not liable for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances such as traffic or adverse weather conditions.

3.2. Collection Terms

Notification: The Company will notify the Customer prior to collection.
Overdue Skips: Failure to return the skip on time may result in additional fees.

4. Usage of Skip

The Customer agrees to use the skip in a responsible manner and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

4.1. Load Capacity

Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of the skip.
Type of Waste: Only acceptable waste as defined by the Company may be disposed of in the skip.

4.2. Prohibited Items

Hazardous Materials: Items such as asbestos, chemicals, and other hazardous materials are strictly prohibited.
Perishable Goods: Disposal of perishable goods is not allowed.
Valuables: The Customer should not dispose of any valuables in the skip.

5. Responsibility and Liability

The Company is not liable for any damages or losses incurred due to the misuse of the skip.

5.1. Customer Responsibilities

Permits: It is the Customer's responsibility to obtain any necessary permits for skip placement.
Site Preparation: The area where the skip is placed must be prepared to support its weight.

5.2. Company's Liability

Damage to Property: The Company is responsible for ensuring that its actions do not cause damage to the Customer's property.
Limited Liability: The Company's liability is limited to the cost of the skip hire service provided.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Customers may cancel their booking under certain conditions as outlined below.

6.1. Cancellation Policy

Notice Period: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled delivery.
Cancellation Fees: A fee may apply for cancellations made within 48 hours of delivery.

6.2. Refunds

Eligibility: Refunds are provided if the cancellation is made within the allowed notice period.
Processing Time: Refunds will be processed within 14 business days.

7. Insurance

Shortlands Skip Hire carries insurance for the skips provided. However, the Customer is responsible for any personal property lost or damaged during the use of the skip.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company operates.

9. Amendments

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Customer through appropriate channels.

10. Miscellaneous

Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and the Company.
No Waiver: Failure to enforce any part of these terms does not constitute a waiver of the Company's rights.
